Easy to use Self Checking Barcode Font Advantage Packages

The following barcodes are self-checking. They do not require calculations for check digits because the checking technology is coded into each barcode character making them very easy to use. For non-technical users, IDAutomation recommends using one of these barcode fonts if possible.
  • Code 39 - An alpha-numeric bar code, sometimes referred to as the 3 of 9 Code and LOGMARS Code.
  • Codabar - A numeric barcode encoding numbers with a slightly higher density than Code 39.
  • Industrial 2 of 5 - An older numeric barcode encoding numbers only.

Barcode Font Advantage Packages for fonts that require check digits

The following fonts are not self-checking and therefore require check characters to be calculated. Most are supplied with examples for use in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Crystal Reports. IDAutomation also includes over 30 Font Tools and IDAutomation Fontware for easy integration into several different applications.
  • Code 11 - High density numeric barcode used mostly in labeling telecommunications components.
  • Code 128 - Alpha-numeric barcode with three character sets. IDAutomation's Code 128 barcode fonts allows for printing characters for Code 128, GS1-128 (Formerly known as UCC/EAN-128), SSCC-18 and SCC-14 specifications.
  • Code 93 - Similar to Code 39, but requires two checksum characters.
  • GS1 Databar - formerly known as RSS Symbology. Space constrained barcode used in healthcare and grocery industry.
  • Interleaved 2 of 5 - The Interleaved 2 of 5 barcode symbology is a numeric only barcode used for interleaving pairs of numbers in a high density barcode format.
  • MSI Plessey - The MSI Plessey barcode was designed by the Plessey Company in England and has been used primarily in libraries and retail applications, such as grocery store shelves.
  • Intelligent Mail - A new USPS barcode that combines POSTNET and PLANET data into a single bar-code. Formerly referred to as OneCode.
  • POSTNET & PLANET - Used by US post offices for mail delivery and tracking.

  • PDF417 Fonts - Allows encoding of several hundred characters into a symbol that can be shaped to fit just about anywhere, and has high error correction capability.
  • Data Matrix Fonts - Allows encoding of several characters into a square barcode with error correction.
